Our
Story

About Navigo Nepal

Navigo Nepal is a youth-led, non-profit organization dedicated to empowering junior high school students to confidently navigate their futures by bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world skills. We aim to equip students with the essential knowledge, skills, and opportunities needed to become capable learners, responsible citizens, and global leaders.

Through interactive sessions, hands-on experiences, and nationwide outreach, we provide exposure to scholarships, career paths, and community leadership, encouraging students to explore their potential beyond the classroom. Our programs, which include informative seminars, competitions, and club management workshops, emphasize teamwork, personal development, and innovative thinking.

Navigo Nepal Students in Session

At Navigo Nepal, we are committed to transforming the educational landscape by fostering an environment where students can discover their passions, set meaningful goals, and contribute positively to their communities, guided by our mantra: Learn, Lead, and Lift.

The Problem We Solve

In Nepal, many students are confined to a narrow educational experience focused solely on academic achievements.

Lack of Exposure

Students lack exposure to different opportunities and have insufficient guidance on post-secondary options, creating a significant gap between what they learn and what they need to succeed.

Academic-Only Focus

The narrow focus on exams leaves students unprepared for practical challenges they will face in their careers and personal lives.

No Career Guidance

Students complete secondary education without understanding their next steps, leading to poor decision-making regarding further education and career choices.

Mission & Vision

Our Mission

To empower students across Nepal by transforming their educational experience from a narrow focus on academics to a more holistic approach that includes personal development, leadership, and problem-solving skills. We provide the exposure, guidance, and skills students need to navigate their educational and career paths successfully.

Our Vision

A future where every student in Nepal has the knowledge and tools to make informed decisions about their education and career. We envision a generation of confident, capable leaders who can contribute positively to their communities and the world.

What Makes Us Unique?

Navigo Nepal stands out because we don't just advocate for change — we actively create it. Our sessions are interactive and engaging, using games, discussions, and real-world scenarios to make learning fun and impactful. We focus on practical experiences, such as camps and workshops, to ensure students gain hands-on skills. We also aim to reach students across the country, not just in urban centers, by training local leaders.

The Cohort Behind Navigo

Navigo Nepal was co-founded by Anupam Neupane, Biyog Dangol, and Prajwal Dhungana. Our first project included two additional members who have now become Alumni: Swapnil Sapkota, currently studying at New York University at Abu Dhabi, and Atal Raj Paudel, an incoming freshman at University of Texas at Arlington.

The Navigo Nepal team slowly grew along with its projects. Today, Navigo Nepal has 13 active members along with two Board of Advisors who work together to run Navigo Nepal as an organization. Our collaborative spirit and shared vision have been the driving force behind our growth and impact.

Collaboration with Gurubaa

Gurubaa is Nepal's largest Educational Content Creator with over 780k followers across YouTube and over 128 million views. Navigo Nepal has partnered with Gurubaa with a goal of providing exposure to students for their bright future ahead. Mr. Krishna Bhandari, Mr. Bijay Adhikari, and Mr. Binay Adhikari, the co-founders of Gurubaa, have supported Navigo Nepal throughout the journey.

15+ Schools

Partner schools including Whiz Kids International, Yuva Sahavagita, Jyoti Academy, Columbus International, Arunima Educational Foundation, and many more.

24+ Districts

We've reached districts including Nuwakot, Dhading, Butwal, Rasuwa, Rupandehi, Banke, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Pokhara, with plans to expand to 35+ districts.

Bridging Education and Environmental Stewardship

At Navigo Nepal, we are driven by a deep passion for environmental conservation, a necessity we've come to understand through firsthand experience with the impacts of climate change and biodiversity loss. Living in a country where rapid glacial melting threatens both ecosystems and communities, we feel a profound responsibility to act.

World Environment Day

On June 5th, World Environment Day, Navigo Nepal led a series of environmental awareness events in a community school in Kathmandu Metropolitan City. Activities included bottle gardening projects, environmental-themed face painting, painting exhibitions, rallies for environmental awareness, and educational sessions for children. These events garnered widespread attention, being featured on the official social media pages of both UNICEF Nepal and USAID Clean Air.

AIESEC Collaboration

Navigo Nepal collaborated with AIESEC on their Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) program. Members were distributed across different schools alongside other AIESEC volunteers to raise awareness about SDG 13 — Climate Action. Students shared creative ideas like making baskets from waste plastic and reusing waste materials, demonstrating their growing environmental consciousness.

Sustainability & Future Plans

One of the most important aspects of success for any organization is sustainability. At this stage, Navigo Nepal has been making success after success in every school we visit. To continue this progress and sustain our impact, we have formulated several strategies.

Volunteer Recruitment

As an organization aiming to reach every corner of the country, we need dedicated individuals working towards this goal. Our volunteer recruitment involves a thorough application process and interviews, looking for individuals with passion for community service who can actively contribute to our common goals.

District Ambassadors — Navigers

Navigo Nepal identifies exceptional students from each district to represent us as ambassadors or "Navigers." They provide information about clubs established by us and the condition of ECAs in their schools, helping us understand what each school needs so we can create tailored content for them.

Nationwide Expansion

We have successfully organized sessions in numerous districts of Nepal. Currently we've reached 24+ districts, and we are determined to take this number to more than 35 districts. After receiving proper funding and recognition, we will be reaching every possible corner of the country where students lack exposure.
