About the Internship

Navigo Nepal's internship program is designed for individuals who want to go beyond volunteering and take on more structured, responsibility-driven roles within the organization. As an intern, you will be embedded in one of our core teams — programs, content development, outreach, or operations — and will work on real projects that directly impact students and schools across Nepal. Unlike traditional internships, ours is hands-on from day one. You will not be fetching coffee or filing paperwork. You will be designing sessions, coordinating with schools, analyzing data, and contributing to the strategic direction of Navigo Nepal's programs.

Our internship periods typically run for 2–3 months, with flexible start dates depending on the availability of projects. We accept interns throughout the year and tailor the experience to match your skills, interests, and career goals. Whether you are a student looking for practical experience, a recent graduate exploring career options, or a professional seeking a meaningful sabbatical, our internship program offers something valuable.

What You Will Learn

An internship at Navigo Nepal is as much about your growth as it is about the impact we create together. You will develop practical skills that are directly applicable to careers in education, nonprofit management, social enterprise, and community development. Our team will mentor you, provide regular feedback, and help you build a portfolio of work that demonstrates your capabilities.

You will learn how to design and deliver educational programs, coordinate with schools and organizations, analyze impact data, and manage projects from conception to completion. You will develop communication and presentation skills through direct engagement with students and teachers. You will gain experience in nonprofit operations, including volunteer management, event planning, and strategic thinking. Most importantly, you will develop a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in Nepal's education landscape — knowledge that will serve you regardless of what your future career path looks like.

Mentorship

Every intern is paired with a coordinator or founding team member who serves as their mentor throughout the internship. Your mentor will guide you through your projects, provide career advice, and help you navigate the professional world. We believe mentorship is one of the most valuable aspects of any internship, and we are committed to making it a core part of your experience at Navigo Nepal.
